truck wont start

truck wont start I got this 2003 hummer h2 just got a new transmission put in, everything is done its ready to go but when i try to start it nothing happens it will start if i use a screwdriver on the starter but then it turns off by itself after a few minutes and the shifter lever is locked and wont come out of park any ideas?
