PSA- Replace your trans mount
While swapping my transmission brace for a UMI piece, I figured I'd replace my trans mount. Glad I did! 120k on the car and it fell apart when I loosened the bolts. Haven't fired it up yet but I'm betting there'll be a little less felt vibrations. Just thought I'd share in case you've never replaced yours. Very easy to do and overlook.

1) Locate your transmission crossmember (black brace holding up the tail end of your tranny) and remove nut in the very center (it's in a recessed hole).
2) Place jack under tranny pan and raise the transmission a little bit.
3) remove four bolts holding tranny crossmember and lower it. It weighs about ten pounds so don't drop it on your head.
4) You can now see the transmission mount that was sandwiched between the transmission and crossmember. It's held to the tranny by two bolts. Remove and replace.
Voila. Replace crossmember and all bolts. Should take you about 30 minutes with beer breaks.
