'99 T/A; Hatch open warning light/dome/mirror lights remaining on after hatch closed Looking for any advice on this problem ... I have a '99 30th T/A and recently the idiot light in the dash cluster for the "Trunk/Hatch open" has come on. The rearview mirror reading lights and the overhead light stay on as well, can only get them to go off if I disconnect battery.
As best I can tell, the hatch is locking shut and the light dimmer switch is NOT rolled all the way to the top.
Think it's a bad hatch latch sensor or?

Unplugged the hatch open sensor & problem solved. I won't know if hatch is necessarily open now but that's not something I'm concerned with. So bottom line appears the sensor was bad.
