2000 pontiac firebird convertible

on the driver side electric window. it will roll down but it makes weird noises and will not roll up when I push the up button. What do you think the problem is?

Botched replacement motor install. The motor is separating from the regulator and the motor gear is "popping" as it comes loos from the rack gear on the window regulator. Time to take the door apart and take a look...
