There are directions on the back of the can. Read them. Then use it like it says. You will not get a direct answer from people on here. Everyone uses it differently. Your best bet is to use it like it says.

Most people spray it into the break booster and run it that way, while others put it into their oil and run it then immediately change the oil, others even add it to their gas and run it through that way or spray it directly into their throttle body. The best way I think is going through the break booster but thats just my opinion. Listen to 777 though and follow the directions on the can, thats your best bet.

i use the liquid kind, put it in a bowl, and use the brake booster to sip it out. don't want it to take forever, but don't kill the motor either. you'll need someone else holding some throttle on the car or it will die....unless you're holding the throttle body cam to keep some rpm's up.

you just pull the vaccum hose out of the brake booster...the one that is on the right of it and that connects to the back of the intake manifold (don't disconnect it from the back of your manifold, but rather, pull it out of the gromet on the brake booster). you then just spray it through the tube, and it goes directly into your engine. then you have some concealment from all the smoke...haha

You wanna suck it through that vacum line connected to the booster dont pour it in.. just let it sip from it
Edit: sorry for the bigass pic.. thought i had it on 640x480

Pardon my ignorance, but what does SEAFOAM do exactly? I have heard of it, but have never paid attention to what it does? I assume it cleans the motor? When should someone use it?

sea foam gets rid of carbon build up and water

ide get 2 cans

and split it up with more going thre the break booster, and then some in the gas tank and the other threw the oil and drive it for about 5 min and change it asap

last car i had was a 3S (3000GT vr4) those 3s guys live by sea foam... i used it... worked great... one can into the tank 3/4 sucked through booster line and the last bit was poured into the oil.... ran it for about 4-5 minutes around the block... watched people come outside thinking my car was on fire....it was great fun... then changed oil, plugs etc did a whole tune up actually....it really cleaned it up quite well cause a month later i took my valv covers off and it was actually alot cleaner then it had been before....i got mine at autozone for about $7 a can...if ya do it through the booster break your camera out and dont get scared by the amount of smoke....

I used the GM engine cleaner, and it worked well. I have heard that with sea foam you do not need to change your plugs afterwards.......with the gm cleaner i had to

I saw the Seafoam site said to use every 2,000 to 5,000 miles for peak performance - this must be for professional racers. I can't see doing it that often..... What's a more realistic mileage for a daily driver?

I say that 2,000 to 5,000 is good for putting it in the fuel tank. I put it through the brake booster once a year in the spring.

I have never put it in the oil, and never will.

Why'd you go with flowmaster then...I know you've heard it flows like butt. It's your motor...but seafoam is hard on seals, same as any solvent based cleaner.

i didnt go with flowmaster i bought the car with it on there, i woulda bought either magnaflow, or GMMG or true duals. i dont understand why everyone else doesnt say how bad it is for seals everyone says its so amazing and swear by it im sure someone would of had a problem by now and by putting it thru the brake boost what seals is it really seeing goin thru the intake right intot the cylinders and out the exhaust. in the oil i could see it gettin to seals but i sure someone would of said somethin about it killin seals by now if it did
