Default Car Will Not Idle.

2001 LS1, T56, only mods are longtubes, LS6 intake and exhaust.

I bought this car, and idle control sensor was always unplugged, car idled fine. I popped the hood once for a friend, he plugged the sensor in because he thought it's supposed to be plugged in. After that car wouldn't idle right. On a cold start it would fluctuate between about 300 and 800 rpms until it warms up. Doesn't matter if I have sensor plugged in or not, same thing. I had it unplugged. Last night, same thing happened, another friend of mine again plugged the sensor in without asking. Now, I unplug it or plug it back in, same outcome - car will not idle on a cold start, it shuts off. When it is warmed up it idles at about 100 or 200 rpm! Maybe previous owner had a different throttle control??

I'm new to the whole LS1 thing, I only messed with carbs before. Do I need a computer programm to adjust the idle back?

The tps or iac censor could be bad. I see you have a Ls6 intake listed as a mod. You didnt buy one and put on it did you? The 01-02's came with a ls6 intake.

Sounds like a dirty IAC valve. Take it off and clean it with brake cleaner.
