Weird Shimmy under hard breaking.

Weird Shimmy under hard breaking. Out hammering the car last night. Coming off some highspeed runs I get a nasty shimmy trough the steering column. I know it is not the rotors, so I was think front wheel bearings or tie rod ends. What do you all think?

I've had off the shelf brand new rotors that were warped.. you don't know what the delivery people or stores do with those rotors before you recieved them.
You didn't say when this happened, does it happen when braking? or just driving at high speeds?

It's always happened on my car in the 3+ years I've owned it. I've never changed the brakes though....I will do that next week. If it doesn't fix it, we'll be in the same boat.

If it isn't the rotors, then it's ball joints or tie rod bushings. There aren't a lot of other things that would do that without more serious side effects. My bet is warped rotors.
