Default Just finished the headlight motor fix

I just finished the headlight motor fix, i put in the brass gear, instead of going the cheap way out and just flipping the stock nylon gear. It is the most beautiful sound when the headlights go down, and dont grind like crazy for 5 seconds lol. For any of you putting up with that horribly annoying sound, just fix it. It's pretty easy. I thought it was gonna be a pain in the *** and it turned out no harder than a tune up. I'm so glad i fixed it, and now all i have to look forward to is the passenger side going out

I had to do that to my 94 T/A, I was kinda embarassed at nite at local cruises when they grinded, so in went the brass gears and I couldn't have been happier.

Yeah it was pretty embarassing driving at night and having to listen to that horrible loud grinding.

I actually swapped to a brass gear and it stripped out too!! Make sure to tighten the metal motor case to the plastic gear housing by bending in those 4 metal tabs (explained in detal on the bfranker site). I did that and it's been fine ever since!
