i'm assuming your talking about your compressor and not your condenser?? Assuming you are, was it making any noise before you added refrigerant?? why did you have to add refrigerant?? did you just replace a component? do you have a leak??

Too much or too little oil can both cause noise. Check the maximum system charge and make sure you stay within specs.

How many cans of refrigerant did you put in? The only other thing could be the compressor clutch or valves inside. If it wasn't making noise before it's obviously recharge related. Check the system specs.

What gauge? How many cans did you put in? You put it in the low side of the system too right? A system is filled based on weight not pressure.

And on some cans your suppost to hold upside down so it will charge in a gaseous state; if your charging on the low side of the system after the evaporator (like our cars). This is to prevent you from a sending liquid to the compressor...A liquid cannot be compressed, this will destroy the compressor.

the sound is only made at idle, and i never used to have a/c on or anything untill now, and i think maybe it might be the bearings going bad in the idler pulley. Sounds like its coming from my water pump area, i think its probably the idle pulley under the water pump. What do yall think?

it could be man...The bearing in my AC compressor is going bad to...and it makes some noise....does your noise get any louder/quieter when you turn the AC on? I know on my'n when the AC is on i barely get any noise, as soon as i turn the AC off..the noise starts.
