Exclamation car died randomly!

i was at the track last night, and i just got done running a pass, i came back to the line and there was no wait, so i lined up, launched then my car turned off. i put the car in neutral and started it, fired right up, then i went down the track, my question is why did it die? was it because of the previous pass, or because of something else

BTW the car is perfectly fine now, no knock or SES lights

thank you

Could be a number of things. You say it died after you launched it? How much gas did you have. Gas could have sloshed to the rear of the tank away from the pump.

Could be a clutch engagement/disengagement problem. Mine did that on a really warm day. I ran to the mall and when I came back out I started her up and she died after 15 seconds of idle. Started her again and no problems. Turns out I need a new clutch a month later.
