Default window motor swap

Hi, How is everyone doing? I have a quick question. Sorry if this has already been covered. I have a 2000 SS and I was wondering if there was any reason why a window motor out of a 3rd gen would not work in my car. From the pictures they look very similar. Sorry if this question is obvious, just trying to save some money. Thanks for the help in advance.

I dont know if a 3rd gen window motor will work or not in a 4th gen, but you can get a 4th gen window motor for $40 - $60 depending on where you get it. (I think the Seimans window motor at AutoZone is ~$50.)

BTW, its easy to replace the window motor.

Yeah I would get the new 4th gen one, no reason to try to monkey something close in there, the space is tight as it is.
