I dont know if you can get organic pads. Metalic pads will be more gentle on your rotors, but they dust a lot of may squeek. Ceramic pads chew up rotors but they wont squeek.

Hey i work at Napa and from what i have seen and have spoken to some Techs at the brake pad manufacturers dont go with ceramic. It does a very poor job of equalizing the heat transfer between pad and rotor. in other words all the heat stays in the rotors..Go with metallic you will be ok. Ceramic is ok, but not for a performance car

oem calls for a semi metallic pad. this is your best choice for your rotors.

I use ceramic cuz I hate brake dust and I hate squealing brakes. As far as your rotors go, you can have them turned if they've not been turned before, but I promise you that in 10k miles they will be pulsing again.

Never heard of an organic pad for f-bodys,but ceramic pads ARE much easier on the rotors. Semi-metallic pads are harder because there is more metal in them than ceramic. Stock honda brake pads can be ceramic on the front and organic on the back, the ceramic pads have aluminum in them, if you look at aftermarket raybestos ceramic they use copper. Different makers use different formulas, some use more metal than others. My car had ceramic on the front when I bought it at 13,000 miles the rears have not been changed yet, just the rotors.Current mileage is 61,xxx. But my hawk front pads are semimetallic and they are chewing the rotors but I don't care because they are close to machine to and I going to replace everything in about a year any-way.

This is simply not true. For instance, Knife vs. ceramic sharpening stone. Which one wins?

Knife blades and ball bearings are even made of ceramics. All of these things are harder than their steel counterparts, albeit a bit more brittle.

Same here.

The stock AC Delco pads are actually excellent quality, they brake well, don't make much dust, don't squeak, and last a damn long time
