Default Removing Thermostat

Well, in this part of the world summers get VERY hot... and our camaros seem to always overheat, so im thinking of removing the thermostat... i used to do that on my honda but im wondering if its a good idea on the camaro... (temps hit 100-almost 120)

what do you guys think?

100 is fine, 120 is a bit on the warm sidebut still okay. if u dont wanna do a thermostat throw in some water wetter. about $10 for the bottle, and i dropped about 10 degrees by using it.

if u want a thermostat its relativily easy to change, but then u gotta tune the car or else it is a waste of time and money. you have to change when the fans come on or else u will run just as hot even with a 160 thermo.

Don't remove the thermostat, espcially if you do a lot of stop and go traffic or sit in traffic, your car will overheat really quick.

can you elaborate on how the car overheats if the thermo is out ? i would actually believe if the radiator is working all the time then it would be cooler...

how about the fans, do they need to be adjusted separately if the thermo was out?

Thats an old wives tale, the water pump won't/can't pump it fast enough for it to not spend enough time in the radiator to cool off or in the block/heads to absorb heat, regardless if theres a thermostat in there or not.
