Call AAA or whatever roadside assistance you may have on your insurance.

Or....try other GM keys. I've opened other GM cars with my TA keys.

I actually locked my keys in my old toyota truck and my moms mitsubishi diamonte. I used a coat hanger and bent the end to form a hook. After about 20-30mins of trying I got in. Give it a shot. -Mark

Step 1) Go to the Yellow pages
Step 2) Call a locksmith and have them go to the location
Step 3) Pay money
Step 4) Let him/her unlock the car
Step 5) Lesson learned. (the hard way)

If it has power locks - pry the door slightly, insert small & long wooden dowel or other and pop the power unlock button.

Good idea, but the switch may need more clearance than prying can offer.

Sweet idea though, rely on GM fit and finish...

My friend locked their keys in their 95 Grand Am once. My other friend who happened to have their Chevy Avalanche keyes on them stuck it in the door for the hell of it and it unlocked it somehow, was weird because they weren't even the same style of key. So give a few random keys a try before you go out and pay money or stick something down the side of your door.

If you call the cops... 90% of the time this is what they'll do.. You can use anything wedge shaped.. pry the door just enough to get something in between the door and the weather stripping... then work it in farther.. you can actually give yourself generally up to 2" without hurting any thing... With that much room you can use almost anything long and rigid to unlock it... Goodluck.

Ive got a special tool I have if I ever have to. Its called a brick. You can pick them up from your local Menards, Home Depot, Lowes etc.

EDIT: I see Brains beat me to it. I honestly didnt read his post first.

at our body shop we got a kit that has a bag in it that you slip inbetween the door and the car and pump it full of air and it gives enough room to slip the rod in it without damaging the paint. most body shops around here charge like 20-35 to unlock one. or you could go to the chevy dealer with your vin and get a key cut for like 10 bucks

...the way to go is to get your spare from your house... Regardless of where you're at you can *usually* call a friend to help out and give u a lift to ur house and back with the key (assuming you had both original keys that is, and didnt lose one ^_^).

I did this the otehr night and hee is how the AAA guy got into the Z28. He had a wedge which he stuck in the drivers windowat the top near the roofline. This afforded him enough space to stick a long metal rod in the window and hit the unlock button. Worked like a charm and he was done in about 30 seconds. Im gonna go steal an SS now...
