Default Bad timing chain?

How often does the timing chain go bad on a LT1 motor? Would it make a tick if it is?

A timing chain will last as long as the engine. Its a good idea to change one if you are already down there working, but isn't necessary at a specific mileage. Timing belts on the other hand need to be changed regularly. Hope this helps

Yea thanks. I know a belt would have to be changed if it was a belt but I was wondering if it was even a problem that a chain would go bad at 105K. I was just told the chain was bad but I know timing chains dont usually go bad and I just wanted ask if they have evr gone bad. Thanks
