Can I check O2 sims with an OHM meter?

Can I check O2 sims with an OHM meter? I just bought a pair of used RK motorsports o2 sims and they worked for about a week after i installed them (cleared codes after installation by unhooking the battery). Anyway, my SES light came on again last night and I went to autozone and they told me p040 i think, right bank rear o2. So im thinking **** I got ripped. I took it off when I got home and I want to know if theres a way to check it using an OHM meter I have. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
