Default Losing Power???

Not sure if this is the right link
My car feels like it is losing power. What can this be? I need to get new plugs and maybe wires. What else should I do? Also I had posted a post earlier on why my RPMs don't go all the way to redline. Does anyone experience this or have? I don't rag my car out but of course I have tried to see how fast this baby goes. It bearly lets me hit 4000 rpms. Any help guys...

Tune up items Plugs, wires, fuel and air filters, PCV Valve and a good can of fuel injector cleaner. If your motor isnt running at full potential, the PCM can see this and will shift sooner. So she may just need a tuneup, and be all set. I'm not sure what motor/trans/milege u have on your car so its hard to say for sure

What other things besides a tuneup could cause my car to loose power? I'm kind of confused right now. I will do a tune up as soon as I get a day off on saturday hopefully. My car is a 2000 M6 with 57, 860 miles on it. What else should be causing this?
