Default Tips on cleaning MAF

Any tips on cleaning my MAF? Im opening it up now... Got a code so ill be opening it up to see if there's anything blocking it or whatever (heard some people talk about bits of rubber getting in there etc...)

should i use anything specific to clean it with? (somebody i know mentioned wd40)?

Use a Q-Tip soaked with rubbing alchohol. Glide along the thin wires but be very gentle not to break them, after that be sure you got all the cotton from the swab off the elements, be careful they are fragile. Anyone with a oil soaked type air filter should do this regularly for optimum performance.

The oils that are used to catch the dirt in the filter make their way through the maf and can cause mis-readings.

just spray it with some electric cleaner
