How many quats of engine oil do I need for my 2000 Firehawk?

Including the standard filter you need 5 quarts to the full line. Buy a case of 6 and keep one quart to add. Most LS1 engines eat 1-2 quarts between changes. ~Joshua

I thought it was 5.5 quarts for the PF46 filter (short one) and 6 quarts for the PF59 (long filter).

It's 5 1/2 quarts.

5.5 most people do 6 no matter what filter you use. with the longer its 6 to the full line. but then if you check it in like 2000 it will be about 1/2 quart low due to the horible PCV system.
