Default Alternator????

i just bought and installed a brand new alternator and battery. and that high pitched whine noise sound is always goin on. whats up with that? it did it on my old one too before it died. any input?

There is supposed to be a capacitor on the diode bridge(internal to the alternator) that smooths out the voltage coming from the alternator. I'm guessing your car has found a way to burn it up. I may be wrong about whats on our cars, but thats how older alternators work.

it didnt make that sound when i first bought the car tho. juss about a couple hundred miles before the alternator died. oh well f*** it, it charges and works fine

make sure that none of the other pulleys are frozen. That could be making the noise + eating up the belt!
