Default Tick???

Im hearing a ticking noise after an ls1 rebuild we just did. it didnt do it when we first started it up. Now after about 4 days later it makes a valvetrain ticking noise only on cold starts??? i dont understand why this is. it will go away after its all warmed up (about 10-15 min.) anyone please help me with this issue. ive heard use the top engine cleaner, thicker oil, to make it go away. im sure its my lifter, i really dont feel like ripping the motor apart and doing this when i dont have to... any suggestions??? HELP PLEASE!!!

Piston slap maybe. I would have to hear it.

After I did my valve springs and long tubes, my engine sounds like a sewing maching. A lot of valve train noise. It's just their way.

I would guess piston slap or a lifter tick.
