Default High Mileage Diesel Maitenance

Well, I have an 1983 GMC Sierra 3500. It's a 6.2L diesel. It's got a lot of miles on it, not sure how many exactly because the odometer only goes up to 100k. It probably has about 200k on it at least. Anyways. It's had the basic maitenance done like oil changes and such regularly, but thats about it. Today I replaced the water/fuel seperator and the fuel filter. The fuel filter was rusted through from the water that got into it. It runs well, but I need it to keep running all summer. What else should be done? I am not too sure if diesels need any special things done or what. I am planning on flushing the cooling system, changing the tranny and the rear diff fluid, and that's it so far. Should the glow plugs be changed? Not sure whats involved with that in terms of time and money. Any other ideas?

It pretty much has sat around for the last two years, only used every couple of weeks. I need it for a beater this summer when my car goes under the knife.

Thanks!

It's got some power behind it. Enough to tow a fully loaded 26' stock trailer.

Anyone ideas on the original question?
