Default No acceleration

2000 3800 V6 200hp.

The engine won't rev over 3000rpm. In drive, 1,2,3 gear, it won't excelerate and at 10 mph you have to let off or it won't shift.

I had this code(P0405-Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor A Circuit Low) and it seemed to work out to be the EGR valve, so I replaced it.
The code did not come back when I drove the car, but it still runs the same.
I replaced the plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter. No difference.
Then P0405 showed up again.

Is the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor built into the EGR valve?
Could the MAF sensor be the problem?

I have the MAF sensor out and the wires look intact and I read 19 ohms from B to C and 12 ohms from A to B.

I need help. I can't blow the doors off a Yugo at this time.

Happened to me on my 94 V6. The cat get's clogged up and the exhaust gas just backs up in the system. Of course on mine, after about 10 minutes or 2 miles I'd have to turn it off and give it 30-60 minutes for the exhaust to work its' way out of the system before I could run it again. Had the cat replaced, it worked fine.
