Mine feels a little loose. I noticed that the handle travels about 2-3" more than the one on my brother's SS.
I don't know but I definitely don't want it going out on me when I'm parked on the driveway.

ya i know really, mine wont work if my car is facing front down a hill, forget that, but if its facing back down a hill it will hold but it has to go the entire length extended up for it to work

The actual adjustment listed in helms is "Apply and fully release the parking brake three times." Think the owners manual says something about counting the "clicks" - dunno, don't use mine. If that doesn't help you'll need to pull the rear rotors and take a look at the parking brake shoes with a drum to brake shoe clearance gauge and the actuator.

Well, owners man says "The parking brake system has separate brake linings that do not self adjust for wear. If the parking brake lever pulls up more than eighteen clicks, the parking brakes need adjustment. See your dealer."

I work at a dealer, and its not hard. However, if you dont adjust them JUST RIGHT, they wont hold worth a ****. As said above, pull the rear caliper and rotor. The park brake shoe is one piece with an star adjuster on the bottom (similar to duo-servo drum brakes). Turn the star part of the adjuster a couple clicks to expand the shoe. Then put the rotor back on and turn it back and forth by hand. You are basically adjusting it so the shoe is slightly rubbing on the drum providing a little friction between the drum and the shoe. If you dont feel or hear any friction between the two, then you must expand the shoe with the star adjuster again. Do it a couple clicks at a time until you get it just right. After you are done, reinstall everything and give it a test on a steep hill.
