Default Moble one 10w-30 question

Ok this question may be stupid but somebody fill me in...I was at walmart shopping for oil and I saw that Mobil 1 had two different 10w-30's. They had the regular and then that had the extended performance 15000 miles garrunteed. What is the difference in these oils that makes the extended performance 7 dollars more? Which one would yall recommend to buy?

Before you buy Mobil anything, compare it to other oils on the ware index scale. After you see where it rates in the ware index, you may deside to buy a different brand of oil.

i'm currently running GC 0w-30 but if i had to go to something else i'd go mobil 1 0w-40. patman seems to give this oil good marks. since GC 30w's are nearly as thick as 40w's and mobil is known to run thin, their 40w should be similar to GC's 30w.

How can ya tell if it's german castrol??? I saw it with made for volkswagon,BMW, and other german cars printed on the bottle but wasn't 100% sure so haven't bought it.

I put that extended performance crap in and lasted about 2000 miles before my engine at about 2 quarts of it. Never had any problem with eating any other oil though. I'm not the only one this has happened to either, my vote is not to waste your money...

I use the regular 10-30 mobil 1 from walmart and my pressure couldn't be better. I love it.
