for about 2 weeks now i've been trying to figure ouy why my compressor was'nt kicking in. checked relays ,freon, ect.. removed the alt. and saw a crack where the elec. connector plugs into the compressor. i did'nt see any signs of a leak, but could this be the culprit? am i looking at another compressor?

if the clutch coil doesn't work, that could be why.
