Just seafoamed.. Weird results?
K question
I have new plugs on my car, theyre boschs, but I decided I was changing my plugs and wires to NGK's and MSD's. I bought the plugs, and bought the wires, and I decided since I was going to change the plugs and the wires, why the hel not seafoam it as well before doing so.. I just put new 02 sensors on the car also, becuase I got headers. Anyways, when I seafoamed, there wasnt a huge amount of smoke since my cars an 02 and its only got 40 k miles. However, when Im just idling, it bogs a bit. Also, I started my car up today and it backfires. The left bullet also spits out water and it pops. I was thi nking plugs, but isnt it supposed to be harmless? Could it have fouled a brand new plugs? Which is fine because Im replacing them anyways, or could it be all the build up in my oil thats causing it? BTW, I just added some oil into the pan, and I was hoping it would possibly help, but it didnt, and my oil in my dipstick wasnt that black anyways.

did you change the oil after you did seafoam?? b/c your suppose to, and did you run on it hard? to get all the stuff cleared out and all that?? i did it and no problems at all and didnt even change the plugs b/c you really dont have to if the plugs are close to brand new.

Ive only had the seafoam in for about 50 miles. I went out on an open stretch and gunned it a few times, but I didnt like do it excessively. Was I supposed to? I didnt stop doing it until the blue smoke stopped coming out, which didnt really take too long. I havent changed my oil yet, its in the mail and on its way. I also havent changed the plugs or wires yet.

Ok,
Well I changed my spark plugs, wires and oil today and I believe the seafoam may have fouled a plug, which is odd because the plugs are brand new. When I drained the oil there were little metal pieces inside of it that have probably been inside the engine since it came out of the factory. I believe those metal pieces could have caused something to go wrong somewhere along the line. Anyways, bottom line is, replaced plugs with TR55's, replaced wires with MSD 8.5's and added German Castol 0w30.. And its never run better.
