Default Damn Ses Light On.....

well i finally got to drive my car....it hasnt been drivin much at all for the past 3 years and i finally got to take it out today after it not being drivin for a while except the 10 miles to my house....anyways i had drivin it about 5 more miles and the ses light came on

the car was low on fuel soo i filled her up and its running great but that damn SES light is on....any one know wat the deal might be.... i mean this is basically the first 15 miles its been drivin in a while?

Drive it to advance or autozone and scan it. See why your light is on. Its free.

thanks man just got back its code P1060 i think anyways it was just an 02 sensor....soo im ok to drive it right????

It's fine to drive as long as it's not contunually flashing.

WOW that was fast!
Should be ok to drive but I would clear the code and make sure it doesn't come back. Before cat O2's will mess with your fuel/air mixture and cause a rich or lean condition for that bank. If it is infact a bad O2, you might want to replace it. Be warned, they're tough to get out. What I usually do is spray PB Blaster on it for a couple of days and then start the engine to warm up the pipes. When the pipes are warm or hot, the O2 should unscrew out of there. I've never been able to get an O2 out of a cold pipe yet.

Sure it wasn't P0160? That's a passenger side rear 02 code, won't hurt anything - put some miles on it and see if it comes back.
