Help with cracked oil fill stem !!!!!

Default Help with cracked oil fill stem !!!!!

Not sure what its called so I just say oil fill stem, but i took a picture so you know wtf I'm talking about lol... ok somehow my friend cracked his and we were going to replace it but we tryed pulling it out of the valve cover but its really on/in there, are we supposed to do something like turn it or are we not pulling it hard enough lol???

Try turning it some. I believe it just pops out.

I have taken a few off, even mine. You need to turn it hard to the left. You could try channel locks since its already messed up. You can also pull the valve cover and push in the hold in clips and it'll come right off. I always just twisted really hard to bend the clips the other way to get it to come out. They're not really clips but thick plastic retainers to help lock it in.

Id be afraid of breaking them off and then have to do major surgery to find them ....

BTW...time to Simple green that engien bay dont'cha think?
