Symptoms of a bad A/C Compressor?
This is actually a problem I have with my 98 blazer, but im assuming most A/C systems are pretty much the same.
I initially noticed that the A/C compressor wasnt kicking on when I turned the air on. I talked to a local shop and they told me about jumping across the low pressure switch, which did make the compressor kick on.
I tryed putting in some R-134a with the low pressure switch bypassed, the first can went in normally, the 2nd stopped being sucked in after it was about half empty.
Is this a sign of a bad compressor? Or could anyone point me in the right direction?
edit - forgot to add that the ac still dosent work at all after this, and the compressor wont kick on without the low pressure switch bypassed.
