Bosch platinum +4 spark plugs?
I went to get some spark plugs today at autozone and they said that they don't carry NGKs for cars, the guy looked at me really weird.
I ended up getting the only ones that they had and I have no idea if they are decent or if I will end up having to take them back at the end of the day.
I did a search for them but the opinions of them are so mixed that I'm not getting a straight answer.

When shopping for NGK TR55's sometimes you have to tell them NGK stock number 3951. A friend of mine tried Bosch +4's a couple years ago, but went back to NGK's.

Hmm I might take them and get my money back if I can later today. I really don't want to take a chance. Where else can I get them at, no autozones around me carry them.
It was like 65 bucks for these damn things so either way if they don't have NGK I will probably get something cheaper.

I have the bosches on mine, I like them. If you are staying naturally aspirated then I wouldn't worry about it too much, unless you just want a cheaper plug. NAPA carries both, I think they cost 1.85 ish last week when I helped my friend change his plugs.
I went with Bosches because if one electrode goes out for some reason there are 4 others to pick up the slack. especially after changing good 'ole #8 I am happy I went with them. If I was putting nitrous on my car I would get TR6's like everyone else.

i was happy with my bosch's, even at the price i got them. i had them in my car for about a year now no problems at all. i think ngk has alil better quality control (never had a ngk come loose, but there also the fastest fouling plugs ive even ran no matter what it was in car, dirtbike,go cart etc.) but the performance is usually lacking compared to another plug that isnt damaged.

I ran Bosch Plat +4's after i did my header swap, i had no complaints about them and would still consider them an "average" or "decent" plug. After a year I got bored and decided to throw some NGK tr55's in my car and it seemed like car had woken up. Throttle response was better and crisper. Initial start up was one click ROAR vs ... one click slowly engine would start running.
Only adv to the +4's is that you wont have to change them for like 100,000 miles. Which would be great in a family sedan or something thats not built for performance. But I don't mind swapping plugs on my car once a year at all .... hell I've got the full swap down to about 45min now.

Pep Boys carries the NGK's also (at least in my area) I used the Bosch +4's during my first plug replacement - last time I went with the NGK Irridium plugs.
I haven't noticed any real performance improvement using the NGK's over the Bosch - but haven't taken out the NGK's yet to see how they physically compare to the Bosch...
