Default o2 sims or tune it out?

I have been told by someone that I can just have the o2 sensors tuned out instead of going through the whole o2 simulator buisness. I really have NO idea what kind of shops do this though or how much they would charge. I need opinions on what would be the best route to take because I am getting cutouts and I don't want to waste money obviously. I know this topic would be better in the exhaust or tuning section but I don't know enough about either to keep up a decent conversation. So I thought it would better to put it in a misc area.

You have the option of running o2 simms or getting the rear o2s deleted through a computer tune. Im sure somewhere in TX there is a shop close to you that can tune an LS1 car for a decent price, if not then look for a mail order tune and have your PCM sent in, tuned for what you want done then sent back to you and ready to go with not having to worry about o2 simms. Personal preferance leads me to tell you to get it tuned, but you can use o2 simms.

How does it usually run to have this done at one of those shops though?
