Default P/S Pulley Removal

My power steering pump **** the bed, and I can't replace the pump without removing the pulley. I don't want to pay a fortune for the pulley remover, but Advance, Auto Zone, etc do not have the right tool. I wish I could just pry the **** off...

Advance has a rental PS pulley remover/installer tool. I don't have the part number in front of me, but they have it! Make sure to get the removed/intaller tool...not just the remover tool It is under a $50 deposit, and you get that all back upon return.

Neither Auto Zone in town had it, and the one I rented (Yeah, I rented, but thanks for the info, I coulda bought one, haha) was about 4 inches too long and was the only one they had.
Maybe I'll try Auto Zone again tomorrow

You can buy the tool for about 40-60 bucks. Get a cheap one if you are not giong to use it everyday. Maybe one of your buddies might need to borrow it one day?

Ok, I looked a little harder at it, and if I can remove the pump itself, then I can remove the pulley. Is the pulley threaded on or press fit? The remover I have is a puller style.
