All of them are set like that. You have to get a skip shift eliminator to be able to shift into 2nd. It's not hard to install. Should have done a search on "skip shift" and you woulda had an answer.

There's also the option of using a resistor - see www.installuniversity.com

Get a skip shift eliminator. That will solve your problem.

lol dude yea it goes to 4th if you are under 2500 rpm's...but i like it because if i want to save gas than i dont have to go through all 4 gears, all i have to do is shift once!!

Drive everywhere WOT in first gear and you won't have the problem.

WOT =

Wide

Open

Throttle

I wouldn't have wasted money on the skip shift, just apply more throttle, it says in the manual when you get the car, if your like less then 25% throttle and going so many mph it will make you do it.

If you are under 25% throttle and under 25mph the computer will force you into 4th.

Dont waste your money on a $30 module, you can do it with a resistor from radio shack for less than a $1.

My question on this (which you guys must feel too) is whats the lowest engine rpm you let your car ride in. I mean when you shift to 4th, your engine rpms are like 1100. I usually try to keep the car above 1500, does it really matter?

The only gear I stay out of is 6th unless i am at 55+ other wise i go into 5th right around 40 to 45 every day. The rpms are right at 1500 in 5th. If I know i am going to be over 50+ then I plan on a 6th gear shift.

lol, thats what i couldnt believe the first time I drove my TA back on the highway, with the 6th gear, it was like it was a bit over idle at highway speeds!!!, great feeling. But whats the lowest RPM youll let the engine drive at?
