Computer question-? Question regarding dead battery(car sat in garage) for 4 months, after i replaced the battery and started the car ,the hi speed fan came on and the check engine light.(lt1)I took the car for a cruise and the light went off as well as the fan immediately-maybe 3 minutes in to the cruise.Question was is this a default setting because the computer HAD NO DATA ETC. AND TOOK SAFE DEFAULT settings until it had enough to go on?Light stayed off and no codes in memory- all like this? thanks

your computer is always learning....what year lt1 is this?....for example in a obd2 system the computer has its flashed standard settings that it will always return to....however if the computer detects problems it will adjust and change itself to make sure nothing will hurt the motor....thus the "safe" mode....
