Security Light On....
On the way home from work I noticed that the security light on my dash was on. When I got home I turned the car ona and off 3 times, light is still on, car starts and runs fine. I searched but it seems everyone else problem is the car not starting at all, which is something I dont need to happen. I dont want to disable the VATS system if thats what is causing it. Anybody know what I need to do to fix it so I dont end up stranded and I can get the light off?

Could be wrong, but think when VATS fails when the ignition is on it'll continue to start, for how long don't know. Probably the tiny wires going to the ignition cyl. I'd just disable VATS, if you don't want to do that you'll have to get it repaired.

The VATS is the Vehicle Anti Theft System. I dont want to disable it because then you dont have keyless entry or an alarm anymore, or I heard that once I think, correct me by all means.
The light didnt come back on when I was on my way to work this morning, I dunno whats goin on....

Disabling VATS/passkeyII shouldn't affect your keyless entry or alarm. Even unplugging the alarm shock sensor in the rear doesn't affect it. (Except the the shock monitoring of course).
