Another problem. Update
I'm ready to roll my car off a cliff. This is getting on my nerves now. So just today in the afternoon my car started to struggle to get some speed. Then it started to jerk like I was driving a clutch and didn't have it all the way in. The RPM's kept fluctuating and it finally smoothed out. Did this again a few times then while I was at a light, it died on me. It started right back up though. The RPM's will drop, then go up, then drop, then go up again really quickly. My key pass II system is failing on me. I don't know if the two are related, but this seemed more like a fuel problem. The first thing that came to my mind was sticky injectors, but I don't know and this car is just having one problem after another. I'm sick of it.......
Well now that it's worse today. I was between a half and a quarter of a tank, I filled up and then it seemed to go away. So that made me think my fuel pump is going out. Then it got worse. It died on me while I was driving and died as soon as the car came to a stop. It revs on it's own and wont even go past 3000 rpm's now. If it does, it dies.

You didn't mention if the SES came on/flashed so assuming it didn't. First thing I'd do is check the battery connections and/or have it load tested. Most likely not related to a passkey issue. If the SES came on, have the code(s) read.

Hmmm, the L36 motors usually have a very smooth idle. I have two of these Series II 3.8L engines at the moment, the only time I've ever seen a similar issue was when I had a dying EGR valve. DTC was P1406. These EGR valves are not cheap though, about $260 from the dealer list price. So you'd want to be sure that this was the issue before spending the cash.
As asked above, do you have an SES light? Even if you don't, there may be pending DTCs that may point in the proper direction. Any chance you have access to OBD scanning equpitment?

Again, do you have access to a scanner?

I had another car that had a bad EGR valve. That was a bitch to change. I wish I had my own scanning equipment. It would make life easier. Thank god I live right across the parking lot from a mechanic. Since my dad wont fix my car cause it's a Chevy.

Well I feel stupid now. I was just talking to someone and they mentioned the fuel filter. I completely forgot about that. It explains exactly how my car is acting. I mentioned the fuel filter a couple weeks ago to my bf that I should probably change it. God and I completely forgot about it. I could have saved myself trouble. I hope that's all it is.

Let us know if that fixes it. Should be a 16mm wrench on the fuel line and 20mm on the filter.

In my experience, the 3800 engines in the f-bodies seem to have a fair amount of EGR problems. As mentioned above, you need to access check the PCM for codes (history & current) to see if there is anything rotten in Denmark.

Just perfect... Got to Checker to pull the codes and the fuse was blown for the reader. Cause I needed another thing to fix. Good thing that's a cheap part and I already have fuses in my car.

I'm confused - the fuse in their code reader was bad?, or they couldn't read the codes cause the CIG/ACCY fuse in the car was bad? So you still don't know the code(s)?
