38k miles... Too soon to change rear diff fluid?
I've had the gasket and RP fluid for a while now. My 2000 Z28 has 38k miles on it. Is this too soon to change the fluid?
I've been meaning to do a 35k miles service on it.

I don't think there is such a thing as too soon. If you've got the parts might as well do it. I just did mine at 58,000 and it was really dark. Also quieted the whining down on the freeway some.

Buy your self a TA cover...then you can change it once a year if you want..the fluid is kinda cheap...and it cant hurt..
On the up side I just did mine, I had 50+k on mine and now the car accelerates smoother (I also had my tranny flushed too)..everything is slick as hell

Huh... I'm just kind of nervous about the adjustments on the TA cover. Maybe it can help limp mt 10b along till I get the cash for a 12b.
I could have done it today, but there were no lifts available, so I changed my oil on stands.

I have never had to think about changing my diff. fluid ---because I have had my rear end replaced 3 times ---There is always new fluid in it. I have my tranny fluid replaced every 30,000 mi.

Granted I dont think you need to replace it as often as your motor oil..but every 50k...what the hell
