gonna be cleaning my TB want to clean the MAF while im at it what should i clean it with?

Use the MAF cleaner. I used the parts cleaner from Radio Shack on mine and it leaves a thin film that will keep the maf from working right.

I've never had that problem. But I always apply the cleaner to a Q-tip, then wipe the wires clean, then hit them again with a dry Q-tip. I've never tried just spraying the wires down. Maybe that's why you had an issue?

At work, we use glass cleaner (windex works best) and use an air hose to blow it dry. Make sure there is no moisture on the diode, because it can blow the diode up. Seen it happen to a buddy of mine. I use the glass cleaner and a q-tip, then use air to get it dry. You will notice a diff on most cars depending on how dirty it is.

Best idea is to use the specialized CRC MAF Cleaner as mentioned above. You just spray the living snot out of the wires, inside of MAF. No need for q-tips at all (saves from possible damage due to contact). Just spray on and it will evaporate/dry fully on it's own and will not leave a film. I use it once/yr on my T/A - never noticed any difference in how the car runs - but it can't hurt...

Are you sure that stuff is any different than electronic parts cleaner? It just seems like it could be relabeled.

Below is directly off can. It may or may not be the same as electronic parts cleaner - but why not just buy the stuff that states that it is solely for the purpose of cleaning MAF's? Priceis the same...

You can get CRC MAF cleaner at O'reilly's. When cleaned my MAF with it, it seemed like it had a faster throttle response but that could be just in my head.

I used the CRC MAF cleaner as well. Also used it to clean my IAT. Dries in less than a minute, leaves no residue, so you can clean it and reinstall it right away.
