i have a 2000 ws6 and the service engine soon light only comes on when the fuel tank is near empty, what could it be? i have to disconnect the battery for about an hour to make the light go off. if anybody knows please help? thank you!!!

go get it scanned when it is on. You will be stabbing in the dark without an actual reading. (Autozone does this free)

Running really low/out of gas can set a code - but like said above you won't know what's going on for sure until you know what the code is. Next time it comes on just don't reset it, even if it goes back off most codes are stored in history for 40 ignition cycles. And be nice to your fuel pump and don't let the car run low on fuel...
