Default After Wash, Car shakes

I recently washed my car, and about 2 min after i washed the car i drove out and the car started to shake and i was getting barely any throttle response. This has happened before after i washed the car awhile back? After a few miles of driving the SES lights blinks and the car stops shaking?? But for the next day or 2 is will do the same thing, then stops. What is this??

My guess is that the o2's are getting wet.

Flashing SES means misfire, I'd check your pulgs/wires and make sure everything checks out.

Could be a loose plug perhaps and maybe you're getting a tiny bit of water in until the car really dries. Do you wash the engine? Maybe it's a bad wire and it's getting wet.

remove your coils and blow them off with air, you most likely got water in them.

somehow, magically the o2's will get wet, especially if you have o2 extensions... do you have headers? Mine does the same thing, so does my buddies, both cars front 02's show up acting lazy on the tech 2 when this takes place. it magic

are you getting the air filter wet? especially if its lower in the front fender? my t/a would miss in the rain 99% of the time, almost complete power loss. it was after i installed my vortech. it relocated the air intake lower and once that got wet, the car would miss. mechanic troubled shooted the car for awhile, and i was skeptical but he dried the filter and it ran normal. not sure if the maf was sensing the water and then tried to keep it out of the motor or what the hell. above my paygrade there

My RS with the 3.8 would do that if it was parked with the front end lower than the rear. I checked everything and could never find the cause. Eventualy I just always washed my car with front end always parked on the higher ground if the ground wasn't level.

Chances are you are sucking some water up into the intake when you drive it right afterward. If you have the FRA mod then it's quite possible.

I do have headers, with the extensions, so it could be that. Its just too cold to check anything up here! It sucks. Either way, it went away the next time i got in the car like usual. Soon as it gets warm enough to do anything, i'll get on checking the plugs and the O2 wires.

Pretty sure my intake is sealed tight, with the volant CAI. But i'll give that a look, too!

Usually during the summer months, i'll wash and wax, and i won't drive it for awhile, and it acts find. So somethings drying in the time given or like a few of you said im sucking in air from driving right after washing.

Thanks again guys.
