Alternator part number?
Is this the correct number for the alternator on our cars?
And does DESCRIPTION: GENER REM mean generic remanufactured part? Because I want a new one... I've gone through 2 Autozone reman alternators since November and it is upsetting me. I don't think they spec their alternator high enough to handle all the electrical systems in our cars.
Any help would be great, thanks.

"GENER REM" means "Generator remanufactured". GM calls it a Generator rather than an alternator.
The GM rebuilt units are as good as new. This is what I have now. Many of the cheap parts store rebuilds don't replace all internal parts on their remans. The GM rebuilds have all new internal parts and they work as good as new.
