Default MPG average? is this in line with others?

with my mods below is 18mpg reasonable average with combined city and highway driving. sometimes i am stuck in traffic and i prob do like 70-85 on the highway. i remember when i first got the car and could get 300 to a tank now i am like 250ish.

thanks.

Try reseting your PCM and see what happens. When it gets cold in that tri-state(MD,DE,NJ) area, my car's MPG goes down for some odd reason. Also depends on the places you buy gas also. Some places are starting to put 10% ethanol in gas and makes my car run like crudd.

It's not the 10% Ethanol but it's the winter blend we get in these states.

We need to know MPG miles divided by gallons. I will average 24 to 25 miles to the gallon on the highway. That is going 80 to 85 MPH. I have a M6.

I don't mean to sound too dumb here, but, how do you reset your PCM, and how does it benefit the car?

Thanks,
John

yeah i am looking for numbers from people with comparable mods and no tune. it seems i am not seeing anything to far out of the norm but better gas milage is always a plus with prices these days. i try and stay out of it as much as possible but every tank i get i am sure i give it a little pedal here and there, just to make sure everything is in check. so for folks who drive a non-cam car on the highway and in the city with some traffic are you seeing about 18mpg average and 250ish per tank on 93 octane?

i get roughly 19.2 mpg with my setup. i know in this area, there is a summer-mix, which causes mpg drop-offs (due to all the traffic on the roads in good weather) however, in winter, there really isn't a special mix. i know soon before or after it becomes summer, the mpg drops to around 17-18, and usually a little after fall hits, it rises back to 19-20.

well on average i go through 230 miles a week, gunning it, racing sometimes, and driving under 2k rpms. So im getting like 12-14 mpg i think that's pretty good considering my foots alway on the accelerator

Same thing for me. I've noticed that if I stop using my defroster to keep my windshield from fogging up while I'm driving (Keep it clean in other words) the car won't use as much fuel. Also, I've never changed the O2's out, probably ought to look into it after 125k miles.
