Default got a quick question?

My friend has a 1999 cobra mustang, with 4:10 gears, and some other stuff. We both run perium gas. Our car's have sat since late november at a storage garage and we go and start them about every week or so. But my question is my friend who has the 1999 corba mustang his check engine light comes on and stays on. We can't notice or hear anything wrong. I said that electroics on cars hate the cold weather and it's just the cold causing this electrical issue. What do you guys think is wrong? I am planning on going to o'rileys and and getting the code detector thing. He just changed his oil to 5W30 mobil 1. I have no idea what the problem could execpt for the jsut plain cold weather. I don't know much about mustang but i do know a lot about camaros and the sort i am kind of out of my ballpark here. so any help would be much thanked.Devin

the problem may be something simple, check engine lights come on even when your gas cap isnt screwed on tight enough, take it to a shop and have them scan into. its cheap. soemtimes they can even clear the codes that make the check engine light come on
