Default air intake rubbing on my hood?

I have 2002 Camaro SS and it has the Fernco below with and SLP air intake. For some reason the intake is rubbing on the bottom of the hood and wearing the paint off. I can't adjust the hood any higher without it sticking up to high and everything is bolted down tight with the intake. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Will and SLP below or another brand of intake help?

ive heard this is a common problem with slp lids, i have a granatelli lid and i have no problems, you could always dremel it a bit.....and the just get rid o the fernco deal....it pushs the lid a bit and it doesnt always seal perfectly....i mean if your a freak about looks....but it doesnt do much in the way of performance
