Default Headlight Help

Hey !
I have the worst problem in the world with these T/A headlights.....
I have read the sticky and it's not a motor or a gear problem.

One of the bottom headlight motor stops on my 2000 Trans Am is bent, and the little white piece of plastic is missing. So, the headlight goes up like it should, and back down again as the motor arm keeps going all the way around to hit the back of the first stop....sounds confusing I know, but it just doesn't stop where it should.
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA HOW TO FIX THIS?
I have been told to make a new stop out of a bolt and a couple nuts, but is there anything easier?
Please help.

maybe bend the tab back and put a small bent in the motor arm as well?? as far as the plastic piece maybe wrap it with electrical tape. like kinda thick. dont know if any of this will work just some ideas.
