Default Maf Help

I have come to the conclusion I need to replace my MAF. I found one for cheap and it is gm model# 25179711. I was just wondering if any one knows the gm model# for 98-2002 MAF for trans am. It looks to be the same as the stock one I have now. I am going to keep searching I am just not having much luck. I called the dealership and all they can tell me is that they have the one I need for my car instock, just they don't know the model#( I call bull ****, but if they wont tell what can you do). So I called pontiac and got someone that can hardly "speake a englia" on the phone so you can guess how much help he was.

Why do you need to replace the MAF/throwing code(s)? Tried cleaning it? TTT for you.

The car is bucking(bogging down, surging, ect.) this is best way I know how to discribe it. I have seafoamed, replaced fuel filter, and replaced the O2 sensors and still the car will not run right. The MAF is my next suspect. The car is not throwing any codes! I wish it would so I would know what to fix. If the MAF does not fix the problem then I will move on to changing the fuel pump, and possiblie the coil packs??

Back to the original question: is part # 25179711 the same MAF for an LS1 car? Because that's the part # for an LT1 MAF.... TIA
