No power steering at idle???

Default No power steering at idle???
I have just completed a motor install and no I have a PS issue


My reservoir has plenty of fluid in it. However at idle (1000rpm) the PS has no 'assist' to the steering. If I rev it up a little say 2000rpm the power steering works fine.

Anyone have any ideas?

my car is starting to whine when i turn the wheel at idle, and it has plenty of fluid. could be a faulty hose, pump, or motor.

i have the same problem intermitantly at idle, i would like to know what the problem is
