Default Vacuum Leak

I have a vacuum leak and it's dark outside. Can someone tell me what this big hose is, what it's for, and whether or not the rubber elbow thing is replaceable?

Thanks.

EDIT: Not the part between the fingers but the outlined red hose coming from the manifold right to the passenger side of where the egr pipe would go in.

It's not my pic, it's a pic from an intake swap, it was too dark last night for me to take a picture of it. You can see that vacuum line still there but if you notice, the throttle body isn't still connected to the intake.
