Default emissions

Hey guys,

I failed emisions!!! They said i was running too rich. How can i fix the problem? Get a tune? i dont drive the car anymore beacuse i have a bike so im not looking to go faster, i just want my car to be legal....

They didn't give you an idea of what you can do to fix it? If I fail emissions, he tells me exactly what's wrong and tells me what to do to fix it.

I'm with skifast on this though. We need more info.

Does it have headers? ORY (no cats)? etc

it has mac headers, BORLA exhaust, CAI, high flow cat, new plugs.....they say its running rich when they put it on the dyno.

well if your on a damn dyno have them tune it out. i mean with the amount of information we are working with here its kinda hard to point to one thing man. it could be a ton of things

First of all - what kind of car do you have?? That helps, you know

If its a '96 or newer, they shouldn't be putting it on the dyno, they just plug into the OBD2 port and check for codes.

If its a 95 or later, they will run it on the dyno to check emmissions. If thats the case, you will need to get it tuned in order to pass.

its a 94 Lt1 Z28, they said it ran rich on the dyno....i wish they wouldve told me whats wrong but there dicks. they aslo killed my alternator and battery

They stick a tailpipe probe in the exhaust...the probe says "the car is running rich". They can't pass the car if it doesn't pass the tailpipe emmissions check. And I serious doubt that they knew what was wrong and were holding out on you lol.

Get it tuned and you should pass no problem.
